How SeatWise makes money
The short answer: if you click a link on this site and buy something on Amazon, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra.
Read this part carefully: the price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly. The commission comes out of Amazon’s margin, not out of your pocket. If a site tells you otherwise, that site is not being straight with you.
We are a participant in the Amazon Associates Program
SeatWise is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
This means: if you click a link on this site and buy something on Amazon, we may earn a commission.
How this affects you
You pay the same priceEvery product, whether or not you use our links. There is no surcharge and no hidden uplift. |
We recommend regardless of commissionCommission rates vary by product category, but they do not influence which products we recommend or how we rank them. |
Prices are Amazon’s, not oursPrices and availability change at any time. We do not control Amazon’s pricing and we do not display specific prices on this site. |
No paid placementsBrands cannot pay us to be included in an article or to receive a positive verdict. |
How we choose products
Products are selected based on specifications, published user feedback and a review of common complaints. Our priority order is: fit for the reader’s body type, build quality, adjustability, and then price to value. Commission is never the deciding factor in whether we recommend a chair.
Our testing approach
Our recommendations are based on research. For some products we rely on manufacturer specifications, verified purchase reviews and long-form feedback from owner communities. Where we have personally tested a product, we state that in the review — we do not claim to have sat in chairs we have not sat in.
Advertising and sponsored content
We do not accept paid placements. From time to time we may be sent products to evaluate; this does not change the verdict we reach, and we say so in the article when it happens.
